Wolves v Everton Betting Tips – Premier League Week 18

After reeling off four consecutive league wins, Everton missed out on a perfect festive period when they were edged 1-0 by West Ham on New Year’s Day and the opportunity of moving to within a point of the league leaders. Carlo Ancelotti will insist his team put the loss behind them and get back to winning ways when they take on Wolves on Tuesday night in Premier League week 18. Tipsters Form Labs guide you to where the value might lie with their betting tips for the game, while we have plenty of value with our Premier League Boosted Odds that you claim below.

The Toffees were taken to extra time at the weekend when hosting Rotherham in the FA Cup, with Abdoulaye Doucoure’s winner sending them through to the fourth round and while it could be cause for concern having been taken the distance by a side fighting relegation in the Championship, Carlo Ancelotti did field a weakened side and we’d expect a more complete performance here, though they face very tricky opponents.

Adama Traore’s thumping effort was enough to see off Premier League opposition in Crystal Palace at the weekend, though that was their first win in five matches as they’ve gone four in the league without victory since their last gasp win over Chelsea.

Indeed, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are on a run of W1-D2-L4 in the league and are yet to beat a single side currently in the top eight in the table. The saving grace for the midlands side is that this will be played on home turf, where they’ve been more competitive against top sides.

It’s been losses to nil in all four away games against top half sides this campaign, while at Molineux they’ve picked up five points from as many matches against such sides so they certainly have enough to cause their visitors some problems.

After a small slump where they’d won just one of seven matches, Everton have bounced back with four wins from five now as they faced four top half sides in that run.

Dominic Calver-Lewin To Score Anytime

The biggest boost for the Merseyside club is the reurn of James Rodriguez, who made a blistering start to his Everton career and has been out with injury for the last few matches, an absence which has coincided with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s five game dry spell in front of goal.

This is the perfect match for the Englishman to start scoring again, as not only has the Colombian returned to provide ample creativity in midfield (only Jack Grealish, Bruno Fernandes, Kevihn De Bruyne and Mason Mount have made more key passes per game) Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne are also both back fit to provide more of an attacking threat down the flanks.

Only Sheffield United, Leeds and Leicester have conceded from more set pieces this season than Wolves, while they’re five goals conceded from headers alone is up there with the worst in the division, and with Digne’s set piece delivery and Calvert-Lewin’s arial ability, that could be a source of woe for the hosts and we’d expect the English striker to get back on the scoresheet here.

Both Teams To Score

Wolves will be without their talisman Raul Jimenez again, and he’s certainly been a miss for them winning just one of seven in the league since his injury, while their goals per game drop by 20% when he’s not in the starting line-up.

That’s not to say they don’t hold an attacking threat though, with the likes of Pedro Neto, Daniel Podence and Fabio Silva all capable of causing trouble on their day, while Adama Traore is now back amongst the goals so we’ll avoid the outright here.

While Wolves have struggled without Jimenez, they’ve still scored nine goals in just under eight games since he went off injured, while they’ve only drawn a blank once on home soil this season with both sides finding the net in four of five home games against top-half opponents, so that looks the best value bet here.
