West Ham v Liverpool Preview And Predictions - Premier League Week 11

West Ham are targeting a fourth consecutive league win when they welcome Liverpool in the late Premier League Sunday kick-off. The Hammers have been in superb form both in Europe and on the domestic front and will be desperate to inflict a first league loss of the season on Jurgen Klopp's team, a result will see them move ahead of their Sunday opponents on the league table. Recent Form

Liverpool are unbeaten in 10 meetings with the Hammers since 2016/17, winning eight of the past nine as they netted at least three times on six occasions.

Seven of the 10 clashes featured a minimum of four goals, with that a distinct possibility once again given West Ham’s last two fixtures have seen them thrash Aston Villa 4-1, before a 2-2 draw away to Genk in Europe on Thursday.

Those results leave David Moyes’ men up in fourth place domestically, just two points adrift of their visitors here, while they were already in cruise control of their Europa League group.

Liverpool enjoyed an even better time in their Wednesday night clash with Atletico Madrid, and despite a tricky group on paper with Porto and AC Milan also involved, the Reds have already secured top place with two games still to go.

The extra day’s rest ahead of this fixture won’t hurt Liverpool either, while Fabinho and Thiago returned to action in the midweek clash to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s midfield options.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also impressed against Atletico and although he required treatment at one stage and was subbed off as a precautionary measure, it appears he’ll be fine to feature in this encounter.

That’s just as well given Naby Keita and Harvey Elliott are confirmed absentees, while James Milner is still a doubt after tweaking his hamstring recently against Man Utd.

Liverpool To Win

West Ham have been in impressive form having gone W7-D2-L1 across their past 10 fixtures over 90 minutes, including victories against Man Utd and Tottenham, as well as a triumph on penalties facing Man City.

Those three encounters saw a paltry combined total of just two goals, with David Moyes clearly seeking to tighten up against the top sides, though it’s hard to see another clean sheet in this fixture.

Indeed, even Diego Simeone’s Atletico couldn’t prevent Liverpool from strutting their stuff midweek, as Jurgen Klopp’s side have now scored at least twice in all but one of their 16 games this season.

They’ve won 18 of 25 unbeaten matches since early April, while Jurgen Klopp has won six of seven unbeaten clashes against teams managed by David Moyes as his side scored at least twice on every occasion.

Mo Salah To Score Anytime

Liverpool’s superb record in recent times against the Hammers has no doubt been aided by star man Mo Salah, who has netted nine times across eight fixtures with West Ham, only failing to score on a single occasion.

The Egyptian may have drawn a blank in Liverpool’s past two outings, but he had bagged 14 goals in his previous 10 appearances as he was amongst the goals on every occasion.

PREDICTIONS:

LIVERPOOL TO WIN

MO SALAH TO SCORE ANYTIME
