Wales v Finland Preview And Betting Tips Nations League Round Six

Despite Wales losing their last round Nations League clash to the Republic of Ireland and Finland beating Bulgaria, they still remain top of League B Group 4 coming into the final clash with the Finns. A draw will leave both sides level on points, however Wales have the edge based on their 1-0 win over Finland earlier in the group stages. Tipsters Form Labs guide you to where the value lies with their betting preview and tips for the game.

It was a solid start to Wales’ international break as they beat Ireland 1-0 without manager Ryan Giggs in the dugout.

Chances were hard to come by as expected, with both teams built around solid defence, as David Brookes’ header proved to be decisive and puts them one point clear of their next opponents Finland at the head of the table.

Markku Kanerva’s men have come of age this international break, beating France 2-0 at Stade de France, while two first half efforts were enough to see off Bulgaria last time out.

That puts them on four straight victories now dating back into the last international break in October and they’ll be a tough side to break down.

Under 2.5 Goals

Indeed, they’ve conceded just twice this competition so far, which is only bettered by the Welsh in this group with zero, while the Finns when excluding a friendly international with Poland back in early October, have seen fewer than three strikes in all but one of their six encounters this year.

Wales on the other hand, have seen fewer than that mark in 28 of their last 35, as 17 of these featured a maximum of one.

It’s perhaps little surprise then that these two played out a 1-0 result when they met in September, and we’d expect a very similar low scoring match this week.

It is worth noting that the Dragons will still we without Aaron Ramsey, but that hasn’t stopped them going on an impressive run of 10 unbeaten competitive outings now. If they can add to that run then promotion will be on the cards and we think they’ll do just that.

They’ve won seven of nine unbeaten home outings since the start of last year, as two of the best sides they faced in that time USA and Croatia ended in stalemates, and we feel that’ll be the case again.

Wales And Finland To Draw

The visitors come here having won their last two outings and we certainly wouldn’t want to take them on off the back of that form.

Indeed, it did come against Bulgaria and a rotated French outfit, but nonetheless, it is an impressive feat on the road and they should hold firm against a resolute Welsh team.

All things considered, Wales will be doing everything they can to hold out for a low scoring cagey affair and we wouldn’t be surprised if we got just that.

Under 2.5 Goals At 4/7

Wales And Finland To Draw At 23/10
