Wales v Estonia Preview And Predictions - World Cup Qualifiers Matchday Six

Following a superb come from behind win over Belarus, Wales eye up 2nd place in Group E when they welcome Estonia to the Principality Stadium on Wednesday. The Welsh sit just a point behind the Czech Republic with two games in hand and another Gareth Bale masterclass should see them slot in behind group leaders Belgium. Check out our preview and predictions for the game and if playing online casino is for you, head over to Genting Casino and have a look at the thousands of slots and live table games available.

A hat-trick from Gareth Bale saw Wales come from 2-1 down to take the full three points against Belarus on Sunday.

That leaves them in as good a position as they could have expected in Group E with six points after three games, as their solitary defeat came against the current leaders Belgium, while they beat their closest rivals for second place Czech Republic back in March.

Estonia currently at 110th in the FIFA World Rankings currently sit bottom of this group without any points to date after their three encounters and that doesn’t look like changing this time around.

Their winless run in qualifiers when excluding relative minnows Gibraltar and Cyprus goes all the back to September 2015, a run of 20 games (D2-L18).

Wales To Win And Both Teams To Score

That certainly isn’t the sort of record that is going to trouble this Welsh outfit, even with their own troubles in the treatment room.

However, in World Cup qualifiers alone, they have managed to get on the scoreboard in five of their last six defeats, including a brace in all three this year against Czech Republic, Belgium and Belarus.

Robert Page’s men had as many as 10 players absent through injury, Coovid-19 and suspension for that weekend fixture, while three more were unavailable due to visa issues.

They’ll therefore be happy to have some of those players back for this next outing at Cardiff City Stadium, while Joe Rodon looks set to return to the squad having not played a single minute for his country this season.

It’s hard to imagine Wales slipping up against this Estonia outfit currently propping up the group.

And considering both teams have netted in 11 of their last 19 World Cup qualifiers dating back to the start of 2013, including that five-goal thriller they had last time out, it looks likely they’ll win in a high scoring fashion

Gareth Bale To Score

We’d expect Bale to be on top form for his country yet again. Those three goals he scored on Sunday may have ended a 16-game run without scoring for his country and that should fill him with huge confidence going forward.

Moreover, one goal usually leads to more for the Real Madrid winger and that is exactly what we’ll be banking on against this weak Estonia outfit.

PREDICTIONS:

WALES TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

GARETH BALE TO SCORE
