Recent Form
It’s been a bit of a torrid time for Tottenham recently as they’ve won just one of their last six matches to drop them out of the top four slots.
Mind you, they’ve not had the easiest run having faced all of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester, and Wolves, and although Fulham are likely to be in a relegation scrap this season, they’re beginning to look like they belong in the top-flight with recent performances.
Indeed, the Cottagers have only lost one of their last six outings despite playing the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Leicester, and Southampton in that run, while they’ve now drawn four on the bounce.
It’s not as though they scraped those points either, having dominated Liverpool in the early stages of that match and only missing out on maximum points via a late penalty, while last weekend they also had 10 shots at Southampton’s goal, even if they were fortunate to have their visitors’ late goal ruled out for offside.
The hosts here have come under some criticism of their negative playing style recently, as although it was picking them up vital points earlier on in the campaign, it’s now starting to lose them points from winning positions as it did against Wolves at the weekend.
We’d expect something similar here, as Fulham have shown they certainly have what it takes to mix it with the best teams in the league.
Spurs certainly can’t be seen to sit back and defend against a relegation threatened side on home soil, so they’ll be forced into coming out and playing more than they have done in recent weeks, which could also give Fulham’s pacey attack the ability to exploit some frailties.
Fulham +1.0 Asian Handicap
The Lilywhites are just W3-D2-L2 at home this season and have only twice managed to win by more than a single strike.
In both those fixtures the hosts largely played on the counterattack, averaging just 32% possession across those two home games with Arsenal and Man City.
Against weaker sides West Ham, Brighton and Newcastle, they’ve struggled to put them to the sword and on that basis, we’d expect Fulham to at least cover the handicap on this occasion.

Under 2.5 Goals
As Jose Mourinho’s style ensures, tight games are often a staple for Spurs, especially lately. Seven of their last eight meetings have seen a maximum of two strikes, while that’s also been the outcome in all of Fulham’s last five matches since their 2-1 win away at Leicester.
That means that both now rank in the bottom eight for goals per game this season and we’d be surprised to see this one be a goal fest despite the quality attacking talent on display for both sides.
