Tottenham and Everton bring the curtain down on week 28 of the Premier League when they clash in the Monday night game. Spurs need the win if they are going to claw their way back into Champions League contention, while Everton are looking to avoid a third consecutive league loss, a run of poor results that sees them sit just a point clear of the relegation zone. Recent Form

It’s very difficult to know what Spurs you’re going to get at this moment in time, as Antonio Conte struggles with consistency heading into the business end of the season.

A 3-2 victory over Man City and a 4-0 victory over Leeds have been sandwiched by defeats to Wolves, Burnley and Middlesbrough.

The Italian is struggling to get the best out of his side, and against an Everton side battling to stay afloat this season they could be in for a tricky afternoon.

It's been a mixed bag under Frank Lampard so far, the former Chelsea boss has a W3-L3 record and is still in with a chance of a trophy as his side avoided draws with all of Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City in the FA Cup.

Their main focus will be on this outing though, and they’ll fancy their chances, especially having held off Man City for the majority of their match, and can deem themselves unlucky not have got a result against the reigning champions after Rodri’s handball. They didn’t dwell on that though, and did a job in the cup against Boreham Wood.

Everton have lost both away games under Lampard so far, against Newcastle and Southampton and that’ll certainly be something that they’ll want to correct here.

Both Teams To Score

Spurs have a strong W10-D1-L2 record against the current crop of bottom-half sides, though recent form would suggest that may not continue with four defeats from their last six in the league, even if three of those four losses came against top-half sides.

They also have a perfect 100% home record against bottom-half teams, and on that basis we can’t back the visitors to get their first away points on the board under new management, regardless of how lacklustre the hosts can be at times.

It seems evident that Everton have steadied slightly under Lampard, with glimpses of potential being seen that seemed completely lost under Rafa Benitez, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin getting back to full fitness we’d expect him to start getting back on the scoresheet with regularity.

Spurs certainly aren’t the rock at the back that Conte would have hoped, largely down to a drop off in personnel quality coming, and so while this may not be the three-point-lane that Lampard grew accustomed to in his playing days, we’ll back his side to get on the scoresheet and make this tough on their hosts.

That looks like the best value here with the attacking talent that’s on display with Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison, Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, accompanied by some lower quality at the back for both, so both teams to score looks the way to go.

PREDICTION:

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
