Rangers missed a chance to pull further away from Celtic as they had to rescue a draw at Motherwell on Sunday, though Cedric Itten’s equalizer still leaves them unbeaten this season, with 21 wins from 24 games and a +53 goal difference to boot.
They should get back on track here at Ibrox, but need to be wary about an improving Ross County, who have seen an uptick in results under new boss John Hughes.
The Staggies had been on a four-game losing streak in all competitions when the 56-year-old took charge, and he was unable to turn things around in his first two games as that run extended to six.
However, he’s since led them to seven points from a possible 12 and they even thumped Aberdeen 4-1 at home last time out.

Rangers To Win And Under 2.5 Goals
That six-game losing streak was sparked by a 4-0 defeat to Rangers when these two last met, but we’d expect a more conservative scoreline this time around, with Steven Gerrard’s side grinding out results at the moment.
They’ve won four of five unbeaten outings in all competitions since Christmas, though only a 2-0 win at St. Mirren saw them win by more than a single goal.
Still, Gerrard will ultimately be pleased that his team have navigated a potentially tricky period, having faced each of the three sides directly below them in the table over this period.
Although not quite firing on all cylinders, the Gers are consistently picking up the points and especially at Ibrox, where they’ve won 14 of 15 unbeaten matches this season as only Benfica in Europe were able to claim a stalemate.
They won to nil in 11 of these games and also claimed victory by more than single goal on 11 occasions, though the latter has only happened once in the past five outings there, with the most recent home games both finishing 1-0.
Rangers To Win 2-0
Rangers have had it all their own way in the head-to-heads under Gerrard as he’s won all eight meetings with Ross County, keeping clean sheets in each of the six since the start of last season, with three of the last four ending 1-0 or 2-0.
The win to nil as ever this season is an option with Rangers, but with sturdy rather than spectacular performances of late, we’d prefer to back the league leaders with a limit on the scoring.
Across all competitions, six of Ross County’s last seven defeats have seen them fail to score, while each of the past six losses have come by exact two-goal margins, including five that finished 2-0.
Away from home, five of their last six appearances have seen fewer than three goals, as one side or the other triumphed 2-0 in five of those games as well.
