Spurs v Brighton

Tottenham have been running rampant in 2022, they have picked up form right when it matters most and have shown to be a worthy side for Champions League qualification. They currently have the most goals in the Premier League in 2022, with Heung Min Son and Harry Kane netting 17 times between them already, and they’ll certainly be the key for the Lilywhites as they look to hang on to this fourth spot.

Brighton overcame Spurs’ biggest rivals at the weekend in a game they completely dominated from start to finish. The Gunners never got in the game and have capitulated at the most important part of their season, much to Spurs’ delight. Having not been the best form, the Seagulls proved that they still have the quality to trouble some of the best sides in the league, and that 2-1 victory will put Spurs on red alert for this weekend’s clash.

Before the Seagulls game at the weekend they had lost six out of their last seven with a draw coming in the other game, it was real surprise to see them bounce back in the way they did and if they carry on that momentum, Brighton may have a chance to get a result here. However, Spurs are on a rampage at the moment and have scored 13 goals in their last three home games alone, but they did manage to lose the two prior to these games (3-2 v Southampton and 2-0 v Wolves), so we’ll ignore the result market and stick with an overs bet that has landed in six of Spurs’ last seven league outings.

OVER 2.5 GOALS

Man Utd v Norwich

The Red Devils had a game to forget at the weekend as they were bested by the most out of form team in the league, Everton. A deflected goal from Anthony Gordon was the only goal of the game and it means that there are more troubles brewing for this United side who look extremely unlikely to be playing Champions League football next year.

Norwich managed their fifth win of the season against their relegation rivals Burnley, it was a huge win for the Canaries but we can’t help and think that it is too little too late if they want to stay up. Dean Smith’s men are currently seven points from safety, and while a draw here would usually be a good result against a side of United’s calibre, nothing less than three points will do.

In the 12 games that Norwich have played against top eight sides, they have only scored two goals (3-1 v Chelsea and Liverpool). The Canaries have lost-to-nil in nine out of these 12 games with a 0-0 draw against Wolves being the only game they haven’t lost. Man Utd’s recent loss against Everton has probably lengthened the bookies odds of this outcome and as its currently sitting over evens, this is the best value bet here. This result has also come off in nine out of the last 13 matches these two sides have played against each other.

MAN UNITED TO WIN TO NIL

Southampton v Arsenal

Southampton have lost four out their last five after losing 6-0 against Chelsea, over the course of Ralph Hassenhuttl’s tenure the Saints have been prone to a catastrophic loss every now and then (9-0 v Leicester and Manchester United). In the ten games prior to their recent loses, they had a record of W5-D4-L1 which is an exemplary record for a mid-table side, though their recent results have somewhat overshadowed that.

Arsenal had a commanding hold on fourth place and looked set for a Champions League spot for the first time since the 2016/17 season but after losing three out of their last four matches it has started to fade away. The Gunners are going to need to get their act together if they want any chance of being in the top four and a lot will be resting on their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a few weeks time.

These two out of form teams will meet up and it will probably be a cagey affair with both sides having a lot to prove to their fans, the last time they met it was Arsenal who came out on top in a 3-0 win at the Emirates although it seems unlikely this scoreline will get repeated. Due to both sides playing poorly we think overs is a good market to bet on for this one, five out of Arsenal’s last eight matches have finished with over 2.5 goals and four out of Southampton’s last five have had the same result.

OVER 2.5 GOALS
