Another defeat for Norwich at the hands of Wolves means they’re still six points adrift at the bottom of the table and if they don’t see an upsurge in their form soon, they’ll already be relegated before the season comes to a close.
They face a Leicester side this Friday night that has been misfiring since mid-December, going W3-D3-L5 from 11 encounters, including a 1-1 stalemate at King Power against the Canaries after Teemu Pukki scored the opening goal in the 26th minute.
However, having faced Liverpool, Man City (twice), Wolves, Chelsea, a Burnley side on their current run of four wins from five unbeaten outings, as well as a Southampton side in the midst of an identical run over that period, it isn’t surprising that they’re form was halted somewhat.
Against teams below 12th-placed Southampton this term, the Foxes have won an astonishing nine of 10 unbeaten outings this term, winning to nil in half these victories.
Moreover, that includes five straight wins on the road against such sides, while nobody is going to forget that 9-0 hiding that they gave Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men back in October at St Mary’s Stadium.

Too many times this season Norwich have let themselves down after taking the lead. Indeed, they’ve gone in at the break at Carrow Road ahead in six of their last seven fixtures, with the only time they failed to do so coming against league leaders Liverpool in a goalless opening 45 minutes.
However, a return from those fixtures of W1-D3-L3 at the final whistle is certainly not what you’d expect to get from those results at the half way point.
In fact, their first half performance has also been a feature in their fixtures against the ‘Big Six’ and this season’s Leicester too, going W3-D3-L4 after 45 minutes, including W3-D2-L1 at this stadium alone.

For a team that’s destined for the drop, that is a monumental record after the first section of play and they should therefore be able to take the game to Brendan Rodgers’ outfit.
However, you’d expect the visitors to eventually prevail, as although they’ve only been ahead at the break in four of their last 17 fixtures, they’ve still managed to win nine of them after 90 minutes and given their quality we wouldn’t want to look past them doing just that.
Wilfred Ndidi remains a doubt for the Foxes still and in the eight fixtures without him starting this term, they’ve gone just W3-D2-L3.
However, the majority of those came in their recent run of hard fixtures, while given the gap to Chelsea has closed to just six points Rodgers may well be forced to play their star midfielder.
In the 19 matches he’s started, they’ve won 63% of their outings and scored 47% more goals per game, while they’ve conceded 40% more goals when he doesn’t start.
