Switzerland v Portugal

Portugal have just played their opponent in question, a 4-0 thrashing being handed out to the Swiss side with the goals coming from Joao Cancelo, William Carvalho and a brace from captain Cristiano Ronaldo. The Manchester United man is the top scorer in international history with 117 goals from 189 matches (0.62 goals per game), and has 31 more goals than Lionel Messi, who has the second highest number of goals out of active players.

Despite Switzerland playing on the road in the reverse fixture, they are still underdogs for this game. They have a relatively poor recent home record of W2-D2-L1 from their last five games. Their wins came against Bulgaria (4-0) and Northern Ireland (2-0) whilst drawing to Italy (0-0) and Kosovo (1-1) and losing to Spain (0-1). Portugal are now unbeaten in 12 away games in all competitions (W7-D5), with three of those stalemates with either Spain or France.

Switzerland have only failed to score twice in their last 17 home games (Italy and Spain) and have managed to score against teams like Spain (1-1), Croatia (1-2) and Germany (1-1).

BTTS AND PORTUGAL TO WIN

Norway v Sweden

Sweden are struggling a little at present and enter this fixture with a W1-D1-L5 record over 90 minutes since November. During their UEFA Nation’s League run they have lost two and won one, whereas Norway have won two and drawn the other, with all three of their goals so far coming from Manchester City’s new main target man Erling Haaland.

Haaland has proved that he is the real deal with 86 goals in 89 games for Borussia Dortmund and 18 from his 20 international appearances, demonstrating that he could break all the records that ever existed if he carries on scoring at the rate he is now.

Norway haven’t conceded in their last five home matches and have won-to-nil in three of these games. They recently handed Armenia a rather embarrassing 9-0 defeat, with Haaland grabbing two goals and an assist before being subbed off at halftime.

The Norse side have been playing well recently and just beat Sweden 2-1 whilst playing away. They’ve lost just one of their past 12 matches now, away to the Netherlands, and look well placed to earn a fifth win in six outings here.

HAALAND TO SCORE ANYTIME

Spain v Czech Republic

Spain are unbeaten in their Nations League campaign so far, though their narrow victory over Switzerland last time out was the first, having previously drawn encounters with Portugal and the reverse fixture with the Czech Republic. The visitors here have enjoyed a mixed bag to date with a win, draw and loss to their name, though they’ll be more than happy with the start they’ve made given they’re already four points clear of Switzerland, who are yet to take a point from their own fixtures.

Spain will however need to be more clinical in their final game of these set of internationals. In their 2-2 draw against this Czech side they had 13 shots, with only five of them on target, whereas their opposition had only three shots and their two on target both resulted in goals. Spain have struggled over the last couple of years with their strikers, and we aren’t sure if Alvaro Morata has the ability to lead the line of an elite international team, missing a plethora of chances over the last few games.

For this game we think the best bet is Spain to win by a one-goal margin. Only one of their past nine outings have been settled one way or the other by more than a single strike, with five of their six victories over this period finishing either 1-0 or 2-1.

SPAIN TO WIN BY ONE GOAL
