Liverpool v Arsenal Preview And Predictions - Premier League Week 12

Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome Arsenal in the late Saturday Premier League kick-off. Jurgen Klopp's team suffered their first loss of the season last time out when they were beaten 3-2 by West Ham, and the German will be wary of a Gunners side that extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 10-games following a 1-0 win over Watford. Recent Form

Arsenal will be looking to carry on their run of ten unbeaten games in all competitions with a win this weekend, though that’s easier said than done against Liverpool.

The Gunners have a shocking record at Anfield in the Premier League, and in the last eight visits, they’ve got a winless D2-L6 record, conceding 28 times in the process. Liverpool failed to score three goals or more on only one occasion.

Liverpool had their unbeaten run of 20 games broken by West Ham before the international break, after a W14-D6 record.

A poor performance from Alisson Becker left them with a lot to do going forward, so two great goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Divock Origi weren’t enough for them to carry on that streak.

Over 3.5 Goals

Mohamed Salah has been in the form of his life this season; he has the most goal contributions out of anyone in the Premier League with 17, Michail Antonio is second on the list with just nine.

We expect Salah to be the difference maker in the game on Saturday, with him only playing 30 minutes in his last fixture against Gabon he should be well rested and ready to send the Arsenal defenders running around in circles.

Nine of the last 10 meetings here at Anfield have seen at least three strikes, with an average of 4.3 match goals in all these games.

Despite Arsenal losing all of their last eight matches bar two at Anfield, the Gunners only failed to score on one occasion and that was in a 4-0 defeat.

After the rocky start to the season where they had failed to score a goal in their first three Premier League games, Arsenal have since been good in front of goal scoring at least once in all their games apart from a 0-0 draw with Brighton.

Both Teams To Score

Academy talent Emile Smith-Rowe has been the player of the season for Arsenal so far recording four goals and two assists. He’s a streaky player, with two of the most recent three having come after finding the net in the previous outing .

Having scored in the last game against Watford, as well as on his first England start over the break, you could find some value in this market.

Considering that the game between Arsenal and Liverpool is usually a very high scoring affair, especially when the Reds are hosting, we wouldn’t be surprised to see goals again here with the attacking talent on display.

PREDICTIONS:

OVER 3.5 GOALS

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
