Hamilton finally got off the mark at the fourth attempt with a tight 1-0 win away at Motherwell, stealing the points late on, but for an hour they were outplayed and could have suffered if their opponents had a more lethal presence up top.
Hakeem Odoffin is actually the first Hamilton player to score this season as prior to that, they’d opened the season with three straight defeats as their only effort came via an own goal.

That makes the win to nil an attractive proposition here, while the 1-0 correct score is also of interest.
However, the former is a lot safer with the Gers bagging at least four goals in eight of 12 head to heads with Hamilton in all competitions since 2017.
Of the 21 they’ve scored from seven games since the start of 2018/19, only two belonged to Alfredo Morelos and his situation doesn’t have to impair Rangers’ forward efforts.

We’re not convinced Rangers are going to let loose as much this time around though. Their games have been goalless at the break in four of their least seven league outings and Hamilton look a good price to make it to half time unscathed.
Five of the hosts’ past seven matches were 0-0 at that point, including the most recent clash with Rangers in March.
It’s not as though Brian Rice is going to instruct his team to play an open game either, especially given the limited options at his disposal going forwards.
