Recent Form

Antonio Conte’s first game in charge wouldn’t have gone how he would of hoped, after going 3-0 up inside the first 38 minutes of play Vitesse fired back with two goals before the first half was over.

A second yellow was shown to Cristian Romero for a clumsy challenge and things looked worrisome at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.  Since the Premier League restarted back in August, Harry Kane has looked lack lustre and almost like he doesn’t want to be there.

This doesn’t come as a surprise considering that Daniel Levy blocked a potential move to Manchester City even though he was told that he was allowed to leave that summer.

Everton started off their Premier League campaign well, registering four victories out of six possible games.

However, since their last victory against Norwich at the end of September they have only managed just one point from the last 12 on offer, which came against Manchester United.

Coming off the back of three defeats in a row and Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool to play in the coming weeks this is going to be a crucial game to try and build some momentum.

If they lose here against Spurs, it will be the first time since October 2019 that they have lost four consecutive league games.

Spurs To Win And Over 3.5 Goals

Since the 2016/17 Premier League season, Tottenham have a W5-D4-L1 record in the head-to-heads.

While there’s been an average of 3.4 match goals in the last ten occasions that these sides have met. However, in the last seven games that Spurs have played this season they have only managed two victories and five defeats.

The London side’s defensive issues cannot just be fixed overnight with a new manager and style of play, and that was proven in midweek, while they’ve also conceded at least twice in five of those seven league outings.

The Toffees are missing three of their most important players in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina and Abdoulaye Doucoure. Mina is the most influential when it comes down to getting points, out of the 18 games he hasn’t started since last season, Everton see a decrease of 57% in points per game.

He also has the highest win percentage (57%) out of any Everton player. The Colombian also has a surprising effect on output, the Toffee’s see a 39% decrease in the number of goals scored when he doesn’t start the match.

Doucoure also has a very damaging effect to the team when he doesn’t start as their win percentage goes down 63% when he is not on the field.

Even though Everton are missing three key players, their attacking talent suggests that they will still score a goal coming from the likes of either Richarlison, Demarai Gray or Andros Townsend who have all been in good form this year, and the away win on the manager bounce with both sides finding the net looks the best bet here.

PREDICTION:

SPURS TO WIN AND OVER 3.5 GOALS
