Rangers will be on a massive high after downing Borussia Dortmund 4-2 at the Signal-Iduna-Park on Thursday, even if the German outfit were without star man Erling Haaland.
Still, the line-up did feature the likes of Marco Reus, Mats Hummels and Jude Bellingham amongst a whole host of other internationals, though Giovanni van Bronckhorst has called for calm, knowing that the job is far from done and especially with the away goals rule scraped this year.
It will however serve as a massive confidence boost for a side that have bounced back strongly from their catastrophic 3-0 loss away to Celtic at the start of this month, with four consecutive victories delivered in convincing style.
Hearts, Hibernian and Annan Athletic were vanquished by a combined 10-0 scoreline, as only the German giants managed to breach their defence.

Dundee Utd have risen to fourth in the league standings, but although they’ve only lost once in seven matches across all competitions, it’s worth noting that two of these games came against Championship outfits Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle, while the defeat was inflicted by Celtic.
In the league alone, Dundee Utd are W2-D2-L7 since late November as they failed to score on seven occasions, which includes losses in all three encounters with the Old Firm duo over this period without finding the net.
Rangers are W14-D3-L1 under Giovani van Bronckhorst in all competitions now, while they’ve kept clean sheets in 12 of those victories.
Dundee Utd’s attack simply doesn’t compare with Dortmund’s and indeed, only rock-bottom St. Johnstone have scored fewer goals this season than the hosts. With that in mind, the visitors should come through this one with a clean sheet intact.
