Rangers v Liverpool

Rangers have carried on their domestic success with a 4-0 win at Ibrox against St. Mirren, that’s two 4-0 wins in a row and four in total this season. Antonio Colak has carried on his scoring form with two braces in his last two games, taking his goal tally up to ten from nine games.

Liverpool were bested by Mikel Arteta’s men at the weekend and despite having a good first half they couldn’t come out on top. Liverpool will be looking ahead to this game because their position in the Champions League (UCL) is by no means safe, with Ajax just three points behind.

The ‘Gers are still searching for their first UCL goal and have lost all three of their games to-nil so far. Whilst they still have two home games to come, they’ve conceded an average of three goals per game in this competition and things are not looking bright on this front.

Rangers are known for their dominance in the league and have had all their games bar one finish with over 2.5 goals, with them doing most of the scoring, but they don’t seem to have the ability to make that step up to the Champions League and with only six shots on target through their three games it doesn’t look good for the Blues.

LIVERPOOL –1

Barcelona v Inter Milan

The Catalans have carried on their spectacular league form with a 1-0 win against Celta de Vigo, taking their goal difference to +19 with them only conceding one league goal season.

With a win in the reverse fixture last week, Internazionale kept momentum going back in the league to get another win after a dodgy run which left them with W2-L4 through six games.

Inter have four high quality strikers in Lautauro Martinez, Edin Dzeko, Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa but the latter two won’t be able to make the trip to the Nou Camp because of injury, the absence of Correa is a big blow who has the highest goals per 90 out of anyone in the team at 0.87.

Barcelona also have some notable absentees which includes four defenders in Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo and Hector Bellerin.

Blaugrana have kept a clean sheet in all of their home league games and the only UCL game they’ve played at the Camp Nou wasn’t a win-to-nil but the 5-1 scoreline shows their dominance at home this year.

Intre have now lost seven of their last eight winless outings away against Spanish opposition, a run going back to a 2004 victory away against Valencia, while they also failed to score in six of those eight clashes. We don’t think the win-to-nil market is the best bet here because of the injuries the Catalans have in defence but the 1x2 market still looks strong because of Barca’s home form and Inters poor away record against Spanish sides.

Both teams haven’t been on scoring form in the Champions League this year, but we think things will change here because of their league form. Five of Barca’s eight games this year have finished with over 2.5 goals and eight of Inter’s nine have had the same result.

BARCELONA TO WIN AND OVER 2.5 GOALS

Spurs v Frankfurt

Tottenham ground out another result at the weekend, it seems this Tottenham team has the ability to get a result a lot of the time despite not playing at their best. Harry Kane scored in his fourth game running to take his goal tally to eight after nine games.

Frankfurt produced a surprise loss against a poor Bochum team who still sit very last table. 3-0 is an embarrassing score line even if it was away from home and if they play the same way at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium it will be a much worse away day than their previous.

In the Champions League, both sides have had under 2.5 goals land in four of their five total games so far with the only game not included being the 3-0 loss that Frankfurt conceded against Sporting. Both teams have not scored in all of these games and in Group D in general, there has only been one match which has finished with both teams scoring (Marseille 4-1 Sporting).

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (NO)

UNDER 2.5 GOALS
