Celtic may have secured the quadruple treble at the weekend, taking each of the last 12 domestic trophies on offer, but it was hardly sealed in imperious fashion as Championship leaders Hearts took them to penalties.
The same defensive deficiencies that have plagued the Hoops all season were on full display as they shared a six-goal thriller, unable to hold on to a two-goal lead at half time and then dropping another advantage in extra time.
Neil Lennon’s outfit are still just W4-D5-L6 over 90 minutes in all competitions since the October international break, only registering two clean sheets as they conceded twice at a minimum in 11 of 15 appearances.
However, despite that poor effort at the back, we’re not quite convinced they’ll struggle here against the league’s bottom side.
Ross County ended Celtic’s domestic reign recently as they knocked them out of the League Cup, but things haven’t gone quite so swimmingly for them since.
They’ve lost four on the bounce now, culminating in Stuart Kettlewell losing his job, failing to score in each outing as they went down 4-0 to Rangers before 2-0 losses versus Aberdeen, Livingston and Hamilton.

John Hughes has quite the task to revive Ross County’s fortunes here in his first game in charge. The visitors have won just one of their last 16 league games, losing eight of 10 winless matches since late September as they’re now four points adrift of 11th-placed Hamilton.
They’ve lost each of the last 10 where they’ve conceded first, and so Celtic just need to get their noses in front and shut up shop.
Previous head-to-head results would suggest Celtic should walk this one. They’ve won seven of the last eight meetings, with six of those victories coming by at least three clear goals as the gulf in class has been plain to see.
In fact, Ross County have lost without scoring in eight of 10 clashes with the Old Firm duo since returning to the top flight last season, and as the league’s lowest scorers can be expected to struggle up front again.

It’s also worth noting that for all Celtic’s recent troubles, they’ve still won 21 of 22 unbeaten league games on home turf when excluding Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.
They registered clean sheets in 13 of those victories and scored at least twice in 20 of them, and the 2-0 correct score holds some appeal following Ross County’s recent results.
