The Foxes were stunned by an in-form Southampton last time out, but whereas the Saints – inspired by Danny Ings – have won five of six unbeaten matches across all competitions, Burnley can’t claim to possess such momentum.
The Clarets have now lost 10 of their past 14 league fixtures, including their last four, and given each of their seven victories this term have come over bottom-half opponents, they appear ill-equipped to challenge the Foxes.
In fact, they’ve lost 10 of 11 winless matches against top-half teams this season, with each of the past seven seeing them trail at both half-time and full-time as they lost them all by at least two clear goals (aggregate 23-3).
Leicester To Beat Burnley
Brendan Rodgers will be disappointed in his teams’ defeat to Southampton, but they’re still a highly impressive W14-D3-L5 this season, with the other four losses coming against top sides Liverpool (twice), Man City and Man Utd.
Leicester have still won 13 of 15 matches against teams eighth or lower in the table, so they appear a big price to get back on track and take all three points.

Despite Burnley’s habit of going down early to top-half sides, the Foxes have only led at the break in six of their 22 games this term and just twice in their past 12, so we wouldn’t be entirely comfortable backing the W/W double despite the Claret’s record.
However, looking at Leicester’s results against teams within five points of Burnley, they’ve won nine of 13 games by a minimum two-goal margin, which appears a far better bet at the prices.
As already mentioned, Sean Dyche’s charges have struggled against top-half sides this term, but the issue becomes even more pronounced and long standing when limited to the elite outfits.
Up against the ‘Big Six’ and this season’s Leicester, they’re just W1-D2-L17 since the start of last term, with 13 of those defeats coming by at least two clear goals.
Jamie Vardy To Score Anytime
With Leicester likely to be scoring more than once, the Premier League’s leading marksmen this term must surely come into consideration to register on the board at some stage.
Excluding encounters with the defensively imperious Liverpool, Jamie Vardy has managed 14 goals in 12 appearances since late September.
He scored at least once in 10 of these matches, including the reverse of this fixture, so looks more than a fair price to register once again.
