This gives a good example of the unpredictable nature that the currently assembled Tottenham side suffers from, though they look to be finding some kind of momentum now with five wins from their last six games, with a 3-2 defeat to Man United the only blemish in that run.
Over 2.5 Goals
Both sides have had a decent amount of match goals recently and we think an overs bet would work well here.
Five out of Spurs’ last six matches have finished with +2.5 goals markets coming off and four out of Villa’s last six also resulting in the same outcome.
As we said earlier, no team has scored more than Spurs in the new year and we think they are certainly the in-form team when it comes to finding the net.
The bookies are offering longer odds than we were expecting for a Tottenham match result, even though Tottenham's away form under Conte is W5-D2-L3 is quite decent.
A draw would be a surprise result when considering that both managers have drawn a combined total of just five games in the 39 matches they have managed at their two clubs.
