Arsenal v Leicester Preview And Predictions - Premier League Week 29

Arsenal will be looking to secure a fifth consecutive Premier League win when they welcome Leicester to the Emirates on Sunday. Mikel Arteta has done a superb job turning their fortunes around, his team sitting fourth in the table, however they will need to be at their best if they are to get the points against a Leicester side that come into the game off the back of consecutive wins. Recent Form

Arsenal have won their last four games in a row, all by one-goal margins, and are currently the odds-on favourite to grab a top-four finish in the Premier League (1.64), aside from the three teams currently at the top of the table.

The Gunners’ previous game against Watford was filled with spectacular football, two strikes from outside the box, a bicycle kick and another tiki-taka goal from Arsenal summed up how the game went down.

Leicester have picked up some form in the last two games after only picking up two wins across their previous 10. Although Leeds and Burnley are teams that Leicester should be beating, it’s still a good confidence booster for the players after going through a sticky run of form.

The Foxes did play a lot of good teams during this stretch of games, so it may not be a fair reflection of their current ability.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City Preview And Predictions - Premier League Week 29

Both Teams To Score And +2.5 Or +1.5 Goals

The head-to-head matchup between the two is very even with Arsenal only just coming out on top (W5-D2-L4). If we just look at the games that have happened at the Emirates it will obviously lean more in Arsenal’s favour (W3-D1-L1), and amongst the Arsenal home games each team managed a clean sheet on one occasion.

However, there’s not much value in this market when you consider that Leicester have only had two out of 12 away games where both teams haven’t scored (2-0 L v Liverpool, 2-0 W v Burnley).

To further this point, when Arsenal play teams placed 5th to 12th (Arsenal are currently 4th and Leicester are 12th), they see both teams to score come off more regularly, with five out of the nine games played resulting in a winning bet.

Leicester are yet to play an away game which has finished with under 1.5 goals and only 25% of these same matches have finished with under 2.5 goals, The Foxes have averaged 3.58 match goals per away game this year.

Four of the last seven games played at the Emirates have resulted in over 2.5 goals and there was only one which finished under 1.5 goals.

We believe the best course of action for this game is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals. However, if you wanted to play it safe, you could definitely choose 1.5 goals because of Leicester’s 100% record in away games in this market.

PREDICTION:

BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE AND +2.5 OR +1.5 GOALS
