Stoke casino is onto a winner with star music nights
A Stoke casino will welcome a diverse array of music talent, including some of the country’s top tribute acts, to play its hand as an all-round entertainment venue.
The Genting Club in Etruria Road, Hanley, has broadened its appeal to local audiences with live shows in its restaurant at weekends and believes it has put together its strongest line-up yet.
Robbie Williams’ tribute act Maximum Robbie appears on Saturday 31 January to kick the programme off with stars of soul, swing, and pop, from Bublé to James Brown, celebrated in the months to come. Singer-songwriters and vocalists from a range of music styles will also appear.
Gary Parson, marketing advocate, at the Genting Club said: “People enjoy seeing live music in comfortable surroundings where they can have a meal and socialise. In addition to our full range of casino games we are becoming known for our entertainment too.
“The tribute acts are popular because it is a more accessible way of enjoying the music of your favourite performers.
“We have also booked a range of artistes who perform in their own right. We think the diversity and talent on show this year is among the best we have had and we’re looking forward to welcoming more diners to experience a great night out.
“The image of casinos has changed in recent years and leisure-based customers of all ages are finding this out for themselves.”
Forthcoming shows at Genting Club Stoke include a Michael Bublé tribute to bring a stylish touch of romance to Valentine’s Night on14 February; vocal entertainer Danny Tetley, who appeared on the first Pop Idol, on 28 February; singer Stevie Jay Johnson on 14 March and Tina Turner tribute Totally Tina on 28 March.
