John Minter believes Genting Casino in Zion Place is an asset to the resort and has the potential to draw people from the region and beyond. He is also keen to strengthen its links with the community and local businesses and raise its profile.

An experienced professional, John, aged 42, has worked in the gaming industry for 23 years. He was previously deputy general manager of Genting Casino Luton for three and a half years.

He has been promoted to lead the 44-strong team at Margate.

John said: “I am very excited about the opportunities here and the regeneration of the town. I’ve been given a warm welcome by customers and staff and I’m looking forward to meeting more of our customers.

“There are only two casinos in the whole of Kent and we attract people not only from the local area but further afield, including some from London. There is the potential to develop that reach and make the most of our location in a beautiful area near the sea. My aim is to promote our venue as an attractive destination for a great night out.”
