Bournemouth bears its generous side for Responsible Gambling Week

The bear facts are these: Staff and customers at Genting Casino Bournemouth are a generous lot.

The Casino got into the spirit of giving with their ‘Name the Bear’ free prize draw during Responsible Gambling week.

Casino manager Joe De Freitas and staff handed out Kit Kat bars to customers in order for them to “Take a Break”, one of the most important messages during Responsible Gaming Week.

Responsible Gambling Week is a campaign led by the gambling industry, which aims to create a conversation with customers, staff and the wider public about gambling responsibly. Its aim is to drive awareness of how to gamble responsibly, highlighting the tools available to help people gamble safely all year round, and the sources of advice and support.

Those who took part in the ‘Name The Bear’ competition made voluntary donations to ‘Parent Support’, which was the idea of Jon Duffy, Genting Casinos’ Director of Corporate Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.

The fun-filled week saw customers and staff at Genting Casino Bournemouth guess the bear’s name and donations to ‘Parent Support’ raised £226.29. The Casino is also heavily involved with supporting the CHIPS Charity, which does such incredible work in providing independence and mobility to disabled children.

The bear, named BOMO, was won by cashier Natalia. She was said to be “very excited” and won’t be short of a few bear hugs now, as you can see!
