1.35pm - BetVictor Carnarvon Stakes (Listed - 6f)

Nine runners have been declared to run in the opener to the Lockinge Meeting. It is a Listed contest over the sprint distance of 6f. With three wins from four starts, TIBER FLOW has made an impressive start to his career. He was unfortunate to lose his 100% record at Newcastle last time out on All-Weather Finals Day, as he went down by just a short head.

The son of Caravaggio remains open to improvement, and he could even be much smarter on turf. He already has a rating of 106, the second highest in this field. William Haggas clearly thinks he is ready to take the step up to Listed company. The three-year-old sprinter can prove himself at this level with another victory to his tally.

Ryan Moore and Aidan O'Brien have had a lot of success over the last couple of weeks and they combine here with Cadamosto. He scored on his debut at Dundalk but he has yet to add to his account since then. The Ballydoyle runner was less than a length behind the winner in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot last season. He should build upon his third place finish at this level on his seasonal reappearance at Navan (5½f).

Selection: Tiber Flow

Next Best: Cadamosto

2.10pm - Al Rayyan Stakes (Group 3 - 1m4f)

Last season ended in the perfect possible way for ESHAADA, as she was successful in the British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes on British Champions Day. She caused a big upset in the Group One contest which included Snowfall, Albaflora and Invite.

If Roger Varian's runner repeats that performance from Ascot, she will prove hard to beat in this Group Three contest. There are no doubts about her stamina, and she remains open to improvement, as this will be just her sixth appearance of her career.

Ilaraab is the only C&D winner in this field. The five-year-old won a Group Three race here last October. He didn't fare too badly over this C&D last month but expect to see him perform much better now he has a run behind him in the campaign.

Selection: Eshaada

Next Best: Ilaraab

2.45pm - BetVictor London Gold Cup Handicap (1m2f)

SURREY MIST comes into this handicap contest looking to complete a hat-trick. He was gelded at the back of last year and he has returned in 2022 as a much better horse. The three-year-old was victorious at Lingfield (1m2f) back in February, while a month later, he stepped up in trip to score at Kempton (1m3f).

It looks as though his trainer George Baker has held his runner back for the turf season since his last win. This will be his opening start in handicap company. He has been handed what seems a fair mark and one in which he can score off if he steps forward again.

Mr Big Stuff came close to breaking his maiden on his handicap debut over this distance at Nottingham on his latest appearance. He has gone up 3lb for that run which keeps him in with a solid chance of scoring for the first time.

Selection: Surrey Mist

Next Best: Mr Big Stuff

3.20pm - Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes (Group 1, 1m)

With six wins from six starts, BAAEED has looked every inch of a superstar so far in his career. The Shadwell-owned colt proved his class in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on British Champions Day last season, beating the leading miler in Europe at the time, Palace Pier.

The two-time Group One winner is one of the most exciting horses in training, as we may not have ever seen the best of him yet. He is a long way ahead of all of his rivals in the ratings in this race. It would be a big surprise if he did not extend his unbeaten record to seven runs.

Last season's 2,000 Guineas winner Mother Earth made a winning return to action at the Curragh in a Group Three contest back in March. She won two Group One races last season, but they both came against her own age group. Aidan O'Brien's filly is likely to put up the best challenge to the star miler.

Selection: Baaeed

Next Best: Mother Earth

3.55pm - BetVictor Conditions Stakes (6f)

Just four runners are set to go in the stalls for this conditions race for two-year-olds. PERSIAN FORCE looked smart when he landed a 5f contest at Doncaster on his debut. He tracked the leaders and once the button was pushed by rider Rossa Ryan, he stretched away from the field.

The son of Mehmas shaped like he will be even better over 6f on his opening appearance. He could be one of the leading two-year-olds from Richard Hannon's yard this season.

Holguin also comes into this race off a victory, as he was successful at this course over 5f. He ran green at times in that maiden race, but he just did enough to hold on by less than a length. It's likely he will improve for that run on this latest assignment.

Selection: Persian Force

Next Best: Holguin

4.30pm - Haras De Bouquetot Fillies' Trial Stakes (1m2f)

All eyes will be on NASHWA in this race, as the daughter of Frankel will be bidding to book her ticket for the Oaks at Epsom next month in style. John and Thady Gosden's filly looked very classy when she broke her maiden at Haydock (1m) last month, breaking away from her rivals to score by over six lengths.

The three-year-old will need to prove herself over this longer trip, but she was full of running at the finish on her latest appearance at the Lancashire course, so the extra 2f here is unlikely to be a problem for her.

With three starts already, Bouquet has a little more experience than many of her rivals in this race. The stablemate of Nashwa was no match for Inspiral in the Fillies' Mile at Newmarket, but she did score at Ascot (1m) prior to that defeat. The filly may not produce her best over this 1m2f distance.

Selection: Nashwa

Next Best: Bouquet

5.04pm - Connect IT Utility Services Handicap (1m)

All three of NOTE BELLE BETE's wins have come on the all-weather, however, he has fared well on turf. He finished a close third at Newmarket (1m1f) last time out. A drop down to 1m will help as this is his favoured distance.

Andrew Balding's gelding is up just 1lb in the weights, but he remains 5lb lower than what he was rated at his peak in 2021.

Former Group Three winner Oh This Is Us is the most experienced runner in this field. This will be the 86th start of his career. Despite being nine years old now, he proved on his most recent appearance at Haydock, where he finished just a length behind the winner, that he can still be competitive at this level.

Selection: Notre Belle Bete

Next Best: Oh This Is Us
