There are multiple methods to play the game if the X-iter menu is accessible. No matter how Pirots is played, the theoretical return to player value remains at 94%. Base wagers range from 0.20 to 100 per spin. The activity takes place on an expandable grid matrix with a default initial capacity of five reels and five rows.
On each turn, or drop as it is known locally, four birds of varying hues land alongside the standard paying gems and any special symbols. The birds move about the grid collecting feature symbols and gems of the same colour as themselves; the symbols are adjacent in the up, down, left, or right orientation. The initial value of the blue, green, purple, and red gems, which are blue, green, and purple, respectively, can be upgraded. Win level 1 jewels are worth 0.05-0.25% of the wager, whereas win level 15 gems are worth 3 to 15 times the wager.
The Birds move about accumulating feature-eligible symbols and jewels of the same hue. When the Birds collect symbols from the grid, they also collect them on a metre, with the exception of the bonus symbol. When the metre is full, a bonus feature is activated. Once no more symbols can be collected, three gems transform into feature symbols. Multiple feature awards can be accumulated and activated simultaneously. When there are no more wins, but there is still an opportunity to create a win, adjacent birds may exchange places.
There are six types of bonus symbols in Pirots: wilds, transform symbols, upgrade symbols, coins, explosives, and bonus symbols. Here are their actions:
