Tippy Tavern is played on a 5-reel, 3-row, 20-payline gambling matrix. Regular pays can generate wins of three to five-of-a-kind, and the lower four on the table are purple, blue, green and red bottle caps with J, Q, K and A on them, which pay 1-3.75 times the wager for a line of five. Next are more traditional items, including a hookah, a four-leaf clover, a harp, and a dice with a value of 12 to 20 times the original wager for a five-of-a-kind. Both the main game and the free spins feature Wilds. Wilds appear on all five reels and can substitute for any pay symbol or establish their own wins worth up to 111 times the wager for five on a payline.

The Coin Booster is a multiplier with an initial value of x1. Whenever a 1UP overflowing beer mug symbol appears, the Coin Booster is multiplied by up to 10 times. When coin symbols are collected, as described previously, the Coin Booster is applied to their cumulative value prior to awarding them. After coins have been distributed, the Coin Booster is reset to a value of 1. The Coin Booster multiplier is saved per wager level and is accessible in all game modes.

On reels 1, 3, and 5, the scatter symbol appears. The current Coin Booster multiplier is carried over and 9 free plays are awarded when all three appear. During the feature, landing 2 or 3 scatter symbols awards the player +3 or +9 additional free spins. All of the round's coins are accumulated in the Respins Pot, and at the conclusion of the round, participants have a chance to win the total Pot value multiplied by the Coin Booster.

Collecting a bonus symbol on each reel over a number of revolutions activates the Happy Hour Bonus and transfers the current Coin Booster. The collection of bonus symbols is also held at the bet level. The feature begins with three initial rotations that are reset whenever a symbol appears. Coins remain on the reels until the feature concludes, whereas 1UP symbols do not. The Coin Booster is applied to the total value of the sticky coins after the rotations have been used. If all positions are filled, the round concludes and all coins become 50x coins. The Coin Booster is then applied to the total value and awarded.
