Pragmatic Play's Pirates Pub is a 5x3 slot machine with 9 paylines and a volatile pirate theme. There are high-value wilds that also activate the bonus round, and the feature consists of two phases. Stage 1 is all about designating and upgrading positions, and stage 2 transforms these positions into multiplier wilds and/or wilds. This can result in rewards of up to 5,000 times your wager. The premium symbols award payouts ranging from 6.67 to 33.33 times your wager for 5 of a kind, and the game logo Wild can appear anywhere to substitute for pay symbols. This helps generate and/or improve wins, and landing five wilds on a payline pays 55.56 times your wager. However, as we will see below, wilds can do more than just substitute for successful symbols and generate wins.

To initiate the Bonus Round, you must have three wild symbols anywhere in view on the same spin. This will award you with 5, 6, 7, or 8 randomly assigned free spins. If you land four triggering wilds, you are arbitrarily awarded 8, 9, 10, or 11 free spins. Lastly, landing five triggering wilds awards either 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15 random free spins.

As the bonus round begins, the triggering wilds mark their respective positions with a frame, and all new wild symbols also mark their position with a frame. Each frame can be enhanced a maximum of five times by Wilds landing in a designated area. When 3, 4, or 5 wilds appear on the same free spin, you can retrigger the bonus round with a random number of additional spins from the applicable range.

When you run out of free spins during the first phase of the bonus round, the second phase will promptly begin. For the second stage, you receive 2, 3, 4, or 5 free spins, and once again, the number of free spins is determined at random.

For the duration of the second stage of the feature, all framed positions become wild, and the enhancement of each frame corresponds to a wild multiplier of up to x5. If more than one wild contributes to the same win, the multiplier values are added together, and sticky wilds pay the same as conventional wilds for 3 to 5 on a payline. They do not, however, replace conventional wilds.
