Rangers have kept pace with Celtic this season and there’s little reason to suppose that they’ll slip up when visiting Hamilton. Steven Gerrard’s side may be more prolific at Ibrox, but they’ve won to nil in six of their past seven domestic matches on their travels across the Premiership and League Cup combined.
Only one of those wins came versus lower league opposition, while the other five were all up against teams placed sixth or lower in the top flight table, with Hamilton towards the bottom end of that in 10th place.
Rangers To Win To Nil
Hamilton have failed to score in 19 of their past 22 league defeats dating back into October 2018. Given they’ve lost all eight encounters with the Old Firm duo since the start of last season, netting just the solitary goal in the process, that would certainly back up the idea that the win to nil is a mere formality.
Since Gerrard’s appointment at the start of this period, Rangers alone have won all four meetings by a combined score of 15-1. They kept clean sheets in each of the past three, with both fixtures since Brian Rice took charge of Hamilton finishing 5-0, as they’ve simply swatted them aside.
Rangers -2 Handicap
The visitors have in fact scored at least four goals in an astonishing seven of the past nine head-to-heads since March 2017 in all competitions, winning by at least three clear goals in two thirds of these games.
We see little reason for Rangers’ output to subside, with Hamilton having remained fairly consistent over this period after finishing 10th in the past two seasons and 11th the year before that, while Rangers have undoubtedly improved under current management.
Alfredo Morelos To Score Last
In the goalscorers markets, it’s impossible to overlook Alfredo Morelos when considering we’re expecting the visitors to bag at least three goals as a minimum.
The Colombian international has scored 19 in as many starts this season across all tournaments, netting at least once in 14 of these matches, including each of the past eight.
Given he’s netted the final goal of the game in five of his last six starts, he looks well placed to add to Hamilton’s misery at the end of what looks set to be another comfortable afternoon for the Gers.
