Croupiers must demonstrate:
- Dealing accuracy and speed on both roulette and blackjack
- Chipping techniques including drop cutting and stack management
- Composure under pressure, maintaining professionalism in front of judges
- Knowledge of complex bets, such as placing French bets correctly

The Road to the Finals
The journey to the Croupier of the Year 2025 title begins with three regional heats taking place across the UK:
- London and South Region: Reading Casino – 8th October
- Midlands: Resorts World Birmingham – 22nd October
- North Region: Manchester Casino – 6th November
Each event brings together croupiers from nearby Genting venues, competing head to head for a spot in the Grand Final at Resorts World Birmingham on 19th November.
The atmosphere is electric as dealers focus intensely at the wheel or card table, while supporters cheer on colleagues showing their mastery of the game. It is both a competition and a celebration of what makes Genting’s casino experience so unique.
The Grand Final
The Grand Final is the ultimate stage, where finalists deal live to a panel of judges on both roulette and blackjack tables.
The final also includes side events, testing precision and technique through:
- Chipping and drop cutting
- Pushing stacks
- Placing French bets
- A comprehensive bets test
The finalists must maintain focus, speed, and composure throughout, demonstrating the same world-class dealing skills that players experience at our live blackjack and live roulette tables online.

Recognising Both Experience and Emerging Talent
2025 introduces a major new development: the first year that Croupier of the Year features two separate categories:
- Under 2 Years’ Experience
- Over 2 Years’ Experience
This split recognises the incredible skill and growth of newer croupiers while continuing to honour the expertise of seasoned professionals.
The change has already been met with enthusiasm, giving rising stars a fair shot at recognition while ensuring experienced dealers are rewarded for their years of dedication. It reflects Genting’s ongoing commitment to developing talent and supporting every stage of a dealer’s journey.
The Prizes and Prestige
Prestige, pride, and a little healthy competition. That is what Croupier of the Year is all about.
This year’s rewards are bigger than ever:
- Two 1st place winners (Under 2 Years and Over 2 Years’ Experience) will each receive £5,000 cash
- 2nd and 3rd place winners in both categories will also receive cash prizes
- All finalists will receive a trophy, certificate, bottle of fizz, and, of course, the bragging rights that come with being recognised as one of Genting’s finest
