What is the Omega II Card Counting System?
Devised by Bryce Carlson, author of Blackjack for Blood, the Omega II is a Level 2 Balanced card counting system. In comparison to other card counting systems, the Omega II uses a wider range of values, offering a more precise way to track the cards:

How Does it Work?
Starting at 0 and using the assigned values per rank listed above, calculate your running count as the cards are dealt. The Omega II is a balanced system, so when you run out of cards, the count should be back to 0.
An important thing to remember when using the Omega II is that you may have a separate count for Aces. This side count may be added to your running count as a supplementary number to help make the true count more accurate.
The True Count in Omega II:
Similarly to other systems, the true count of the Omega II follows this formula:
True Count = Running Count

When using the Omega II system, your goal should be to wait for a higher positive count before making any betting decisions. Here are things to remember regarding this:
- When the count is high, more high-value cards are left in the deck.
- When the count is low, more low-value cards are left in the deck.
