Genting Poker Series deals a winner for Macmillan charity

Players took on Colin McTaggart, Tournament Director of the Genting Poker Series, in a ‘Beat the Boss’ cash game which proved a winner for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The challenge at Genting Club Star City, Birmingham, was streamed on a delay across YouTube and raised more than £1,400 from donations and rake generated for the charity.

Notable players taking part included Paul and Ben Jackson. They were joined by Jamie Bott, who got into the spirit of the event by raising money from players by dressing in drag, and Mal Coleman who dug deep for the charity.

Andrew Booth of Cardroom Direct was the winner and received a trophy generously donated by Adam Wilkinson.

The Genting Poker Series is now in its fourth year with ten events held across the UK, attracting a mix of recreational players and professionals.
