Torquay casino checks in with B&B businesses
Torquay’s only casino held a special reception for local bed and breakfast owners to develop business links and showcase what it can offer their guests.
Forty attendees, representing around 30 B&Bs, enjoyed a Champagne reception at Genting Casino in Abbey Road, and food tastings to gain a flavour of the menu at its Fahrenheit bar and restaurant. A learn to play gaming session was also a hit at the event.
General Manager Kevin Gale said: “It was a very successful afternoon. It was our chance to meet bed and breakfast owners in a relaxed setting and show them what our venue can provide for leisure, dining and gaming.
“Having experienced the excitement and great tastes of Genting Casino Torquay it is easy to recommend us to holiday makers and tourists alike. I want to become a part of the local business community and add value to Torquay as a destination with a difference.”
Kevin added: “I believe Torquay businesses should network and work together to promote the town as an attractive destination with much to offer.”
The casino plans to host another event for B&B owners in the near future to help spread the word.
