Lucky customers land knockout prize to see the big fight
Three Genting Casino customers have struck lucky and won a trip to this weekend’s world heavyweight title fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury in Germany.
Connor Gibbin, aged 19, from Northumberland, Colin Padfield, aged 81, from Bristol and Ron Coffman, aged 48, from Birmingham, scooped the knockout prizes as the North, South and Midlands winners of a free prize draw.
They will fly to Dusseldorf to witness the much anticipated clash on Saturday 28 November where Klitschko, who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight titles, will take on British challenger Fury.
None of the men have been to a boxing match before. Wood machinist Connor said: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard I’d won. It’s very exciting. All the lads at work are jealous. I don’t know much about boxing but I know it’s a big fight.”
Colin, a regular at Genting Casino Bristol for many years, said: “I’ve never been to a boxing match before, I’ve only seen it on television. I’m looking forward to it; it will be an amazing experience.”
Ron, an IT technician who won the prize at Genting Club Star City, will be supporting Fury. He said: “I’ve never been to Germany and have wanted to go there as my ancestors were German. In fact we had booked a holiday to Dusseldorf in January but had to cancel it because I had to have an operation. We hoped we would get there another time but I never imagined it would be like this!”
Each man won two tickets, flights and a night’s hotel accommodation in the national free prize draw for customers of Genting Casinos.
