Genting Club Southport Supports Countries Top Talent Show
Genting Club Southport is delighted to announce its official sponsorship of this year’s Miss England event, which makes a welcome return to the North West this week after 11 years.
As part of the sponsorship, the casino hosted a special lunch for the Miss England team and Pierre Rene professional stylists following the Infidelle Beach Beauty fashion shoot element of the competition.
The iconic swimwear round is one of ten rounds in the Miss England competition, with the final scheduled to take place in Southport from 19 – 21 July.
To welcome the many contestants from across the UK, the casino will host a further lunch on 19 July, to be attended by up to 70 guests, plus a glamorous after party to celebrate the achievements of all who have taken part.
The current Miss England, Natasha Hemmings (20), who attended the Miss England Beach Beauty lunch event, commented: “I haven’t been to many casinos but I have to say I was impressed, the surroundings and healthy food made the lunch really enjoyable and it will be a fantastic and stylish way to end the Miss England 2016 celebrations. I’m even looking forward to having a little flutter myself!”
The judges now have the difficult task of choosing just one winner from the 14 who will be fast tracked through to the Miss England final. In the lead up to the event, Miss England finalists are fundraising for Beauty with a Purpose, creating their own outfits made from recycled materials with the theme English Fashion through the Decades.
They must also submit evidence of a talent on the Miss England You Tube Channel and are promoting Billion Dollar Smile, a teeth whitening cosmetic, on social media in the hope to be selected as a face for the brand.
In addition, they have the chance to be selected by top international model agency BMA models in an army style boot camp during their stay in Southport and are even invited to take a written exam on the day of the final itself.
Genting Club Southport General Manager Paul Smith concludes: “We were delighted to host the Miss England Beach Beauty team lunch at Genting Club Southport. Everyone was very pleased to see the return of Miss England to the North West after 11 years and even more so when we found out the final would be held in Southport. We hope all involved in the lunch had a great time and look forward to welcoming all of the contestants to our special lunch and again after the results have been announced to celebrate in style.”
