Genting casinos prepare to crown top Dealer of the Year

Eleven finalists are hoping to play their cards right in the battle to be crowned overall winner in the Genting Casinos Dealer of the Year competition.

They have achieved success in the regional heats and will now pit their skills in the grand final at the new Genting International Casino at Resorts World Birmingham on 26 November.

In addition to the title, the winner will be awarded a luxury cruise for two and £500 spending money. Prizes of £1,000 and £500 will be awarded to the runner-up and third placed contestant.

Lynda Atkinson, Head of Social Responsibility at Genting Casinos, said: “We have some highly talented people and this competition gives us a chance to recognise and celebrate dealers who are at the top of their game. Some 70 dealers from across our venues competed in the heats. Now it is down to the 11 finalists to demonstrate their skills and compete for the top prize.

“They will be judged on their style, accuracy and procedures in dealing American Roulette and Blackjack, together with various exercises all against the clock.”

The finalists are Adam Udall and Renato Harvey, from Genting International Casino; Jonathan Greaves (Genting Casino Edgbaston); Thomas Iles, Neill Phillips (Genting Club Manchester); Rich Clive (Genting Club Riverlights, Derby); Tim Spackman Genting Club Fountainpark, Edinburgh); Inga Berga (Genting Casino Brighton); Mark Brennan (Genting Club Westcliff); Boglarka Bratkovics (Genting Casino Nottingham ) and Ben Gruchy (Genting Casino Torquay).
