Recent Form

It’s slightly worrying times in the Spurs camp as they remain without their two key strikers, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for at least another month and with a busy schedule ahead, they could well start to come apart.

They’re currently sitting on back-to-back defeats hosting Leipzig in the Champions League before a trip to London rivals Chelsea, and having been outplayed by both outfits in those games, it could get worse still for Jose Mourinho’s men.

Wolves are hardly one of the teams that you’d want to face when your confidence is low either. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have seemed to have found their form once again after a spell of just one victory from nine fixtures between the end of December and the middle of this month – although they did face Man Utd three times, Liverpool twice, Leicester and an in-form Watford during that time - they’ve since won back-to-back matches when excluding their dead rubber at Espanyol on Thursday night.

Spurs And Wolves To Draw

Having built a reputation last season for being ‘giant killers’ the visitors haven’t exactly lived up to that billing, with the only side they’ve beaten at all venues currently inside the top-11 sides of the Premier League being Man City, drawing seven of their other 12 winless outings when excluding the Citizens.

Furthermore, they’ve won just three of their last 13 trips to opposition across all competitions dating back to late October, as both sides found the net in 10 of those.

Even their victories came against bottom-half outfits Norwich, Bournemouth and Southampton, so it doesn’t exactly look like a game to get the mutual fan too excited!

Mourinho’s men have in fact put together a respectable run of fixtures at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since his arrival back in November, winning eight of their 11 outings across all tournaments, conceding in nine of those, as only top sides Chelsea, league leaders Liverpool and German outfit Leipzig were able to get the better of them.

However, without both their top two strikers in the starting line-up this season, they’re a mere W5-D5-L3 in the league this term, with four of those victories coming against weak opponents Villa (twice), the Canaries and Brighton.

In fact, considering only Arsenal have drawn more than Wolves’ 12 this season, it could be worth getting behind the stalemate.

Both Teams To Score

Spurs did still register in 10 of those fixtures, plundering two or more in seven and so we still fancy this game to see a few fireworks with the likes of Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn all looking dangerous.

By contrast, Wolves have now found the net in all but four of their 22 trips this term across all competitions, striking two or more in over half and so we hardly expect them to have too much trouble against the hosts’ leaky defence.

To cement that as a betting prospect, you only have to look at their recent head-to-heads to see there’s been an average of four goals per game from their three meetings since the start of last season, with both sides registering in each.
