We wouldn’t expect any Mourinho team to get battered, but as 2-0 and 1-0 defeats to Chelsea and Liverpool respectively have shown, the Portuguese coach tends to take the sting out of these games.
He also has to continue finding solutions to a Harry Kane shaped hole up front, though given Man City’s inability to rack up clean sheets, the likes of Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura should find a route through to goal at some stage.
Man City To Win And Both Teams To Score
Although both teams to score is a little short to get behind, we’re quite comfortable coupling it with the City win.
Spurs haven’t coped well in the big games this season and since late September, they’ve lost all seven matches when facing either the current top six domestically or Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with both teams finding the net on five occasions.
Meanwhile, the Citizens have conceded in five of their past seven wins on their travels in all competitions.
Sergio Aguero To Score Anytime
While one or two of Spurs’ players could come into contention to score, we’re finding it hard to look beyond Man City’s Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine broke records in January as he became the highest-scoring foreign player in Premier League history with a hat-trick at Villa, and his last four league appearances have yielded seven goals as he found the net in each.
He was unlucky not to score midweek in their League Cup second leg against Man Utd, having one chalked off after straying marginally offside, and can continue the good work here.
