However, Atalanta are usually a high-scoring team and the looming threat of an away goal or two leaves no room for complacency.

Although Real Madrid benefited from Remo Freuler’s 17th-minute sending off in the first leg, they were missing a large continent of players on that occasion.
The treatment room has since cleared up and their main absentees this time around are Dani Carvajal and the suspended Casemiro, while Atalanta will be without Freuler and right-back Hans Hateboer.

Atalanta have seen at least four goals in 12 of 21 matches since late December, and they may consider attack as the best form of defence with the need to get an away goal or two.
However, Madrid have been less shaky at the back recently and have the experience to manage these sorts of affairs, while they welcomed back key veteran Sergio Ramos from injury at the weekend. Los Blancos have won 11 of their last 12 against Italian sides, including a pair of victories over Inter in last season’s group stages, and we’d back that record to continue.
