Rangers v St Mirren Betting Tips - Scottish Premiership Week 31

Rangers 1-0 midweek win over Livingston has put them on the brink of a first Scottish Premiership title since 2010/11, a celebration that could come this weekend for Steven Gerrard’s team if they get the win over St Mirren and Celtic drop points against Dundee. If not then it will come down to the Old Firm Derby next weekend an occasion that be a little sweeter if they get the result. Recent Form

Rangers left it late, but Alfredo Morelos’ 87th-minute strike was enough to secure maximum points away at Livingston and they’re now on the brink of securing the title.

Another win here could see them claim it before facing Celtic later this month, should the Hoops slip up when visiting Dundee Utd on Sunday.

Alfredo Morelos First Goalscorer

Morelos has come good in the latter stages of this season and although it’s in Europe where the combustible Colombian had the biggest impact, with six assists and a goal across their knockout ties with Royal Antwerp, he’s also started registering in the league.

He now has six goals in eight appearances domestically, including strikes in each of his last three against Hibernian, Dundee Utd and Livingston, as he’s opened the scoring in three of the last four league games in which he found the net.

Rangers To Win 1-0

Another clean sheet for the hosts should be on the cards here. They’ve conceded just twice from 15 league games at Ibrox this season, winning every single one, but we wouldn’t expect them to simply romp to victory.

Each of their first nine at home saw them win by at least two clear strikes, but four of the last six have finished just 1-0 and the correct score holds some appeal.

In fact, home or away, all but one of Rangers’ last six league matches have seen fewer than three goals. Steven Gerrard’s men won 1-0 in four of these, as a 94th-minute own goal against Hamilton prevented another game finishing that way, further encouraging us to get behind the correct score.

We doubt upcoming Europa League games with Slavia Prague will impact their domestic form, and St. Mirren’s recent showings would also suggest this should be a low-scoring affair.

Each of the visitor’s past five games have seen fewer than three goals, and although they went unbeaten across these, four of them ended in stalemates.

Only Aberdeen’s matches have seen less goals this season, while across all competitions, nine of St. Mirren’s past 11 road trips have featured a maximum of two goals, as seven saw just one strike or less.

Rangers To Win To Nil

The Rangers win to nil has landed in seven of eight head-top-heads since Gerrard rocked up in Glasgow, so all the signs point towards yet another clean sheet.

However, other than a 3-0 win when St. Mirren visited Ibrox back in early August, the visitors haven’t lost by more than a single strike on their travels this season.

Rangers Win To Nil At 10/11

Rangers 1-0 Correct Score At 6/1

0.5pts: Alfredo Morelos First Goalscorer At 3/1
