Poland v Netherlands Preview And Betting Tips – Nations League Round Six

Poland take on the Netherlands in their final group stage Nations League clash, both sides knowing they are in with a shot of winning League A Group 1. Italy currently top the group by a point ahead of the Netherlands, with Poland juts one point adrift, however both sides will be hoping Bosnia can do them a favour when they take on table toppers Italy. Tipsters Form Labs guide you to where the value lies with their betting preview and tips for the game.

There are still three teams in with a shout of winning this group and progressing to the Nations League Finals, though it’s out of either of these two’s hands as if Italy beat a Bosnia and Herzegovina side who have already been confined to relegation to League B, so this battle could be in vain.

Frank de Boer picked up his first win as Netherlands boss on Sunday as his side ran out 3-1 winners over Bosnia, ending his four match winless tenure at the helm, the first manager of the Dutch side to ever go that long without winning their first match.

A win over Poland would do him and his side the world of good as we now have a near four month break before the next international break, and defeat would leave question marks hanging over his head for the entirety of that time, though a win is much easier said than done against a side like Poland.

The Poles suffered their first defeat in six matches when they travelled to Italy on Sunday, going down 2-0 on the road, but back at home their record is far better.

They’ve won six of their last eight unbeaten matches on home soil over the last two years, conceding just three goals in that time and keeping six clean sheets.

It’s on those grounds that we can’t get behind the away win, especially seeing as de Boer has failed to impress so far.

Poland Or Draw Double Chance

While Poland look good on home soil, they’ve not had many tests with only Italy, Austria and Ukraine the sides in the world’s top 50 that they faced in those eight matches, going W1-D2 in those games so having lost the reverse fixture, the double chance looks to be the safer option at the prices.

There’s no real goal trends for the hosts, with just under half of their matches seeing three or more goals this year, though six of the visitors’ seven matches have seen ‘Unders’ come in, including all five with top 20 sides.

With that said, however, there is an array of attacking talent on display here with Robert Lewandowski, Memphis Depay, Krzysztof Piatek and Quincy Promes among a host of names capable of getting on the scoresheet so we’re happy to avoid backing a low scorer at odds on, and the double chance gets our pick.
