Norwich’s Premier League status remains perilous, though there has been a slight improvement over their last three across all competitions as they downed Bournemouth and then Burnley in the FA Cup, sandwiching a 2-1 defeat away at Spurs where they made Mourinho’s men work for the points.
However, with just two wins from their past 19 league matches (W2-D5-L12) we’re a tad surprised to see their hosts at odds-against.
The Magpies were tipped by many to strap in for a relegation battle before a ball was kicked this season, but Steve Bruce has so far proved a steady hand and his team have established a seven-point gap over the drop zone.
They’re unbeaten in three now as they’ve taken solid points on the road at Wolves and Everton, as well as a win over Chelsea at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle have largely disappointed on the road this season, but in a table based on home results alone they’d be up in seventh place, with only Liverpool and Sheffield Utd boasting better defensive records.
However, with just two clean sheets from their last eight on Tyneside, there’s good reason to think their visitors can nick a goal.
Both teams have scored in eight of Norwich’s past 11 games as their biggest problem has been keeping clean sheets, with the 47 goals they’ve shipped the most in the league.
Newcastle might not be the division’s entertainers, but they have found the net in in all but one of their past nine home games, and with both teams scoring in the reverse fixture we’d expect that to happen again.

Although the Canaries can play their part in this game, Daniel Farke has a few absentees to contend with and that encourages to swing behind the hosts.
It looks as though midfield starlet Todd Cantwell will recover in time, but centre-back Ben Godfrey must serve a suspension and winger Emiliano Buendia is a major doubt for this one.
The latter is by far their top assist maker this term, though given Norwich have netted in all four games without him starting this term (Everton, Arsenal, Southampton and Spurs), we’d still stick with backing both teams to score.
