Recent Form

Everton shouldn’t feel too disheartened by a defeat away at a rejuvenated Arsenal side. They’ve now played 14 matches in all competition since the departure of Marco Silva (W6-D5-L3 over 90 minutes) as they’ve been pretty consistent.

All three losses came by one-goal margins on their travels, as the other two were inflicted by Man City and Liverpool, while three of the stalemates came in clashes with Arsenal, Leicester and Man Utd themselves.

Man United Draw No Bet

The Toffees did beat Chelsea at Goodison Park at the very beginning of this spell, but given 10th-placed Burnley are the next highest team in the table they’ve downed, we’re unconvinced they have what it takes to win this one.

Indeed, Man Utd have come into some form domestically with four wins from their past five, as they kept clean sheets in each.

Although the first of these was a 6-0 trampling of Tranmere Rovers, they’ve also recorded victories away at Man City (1-0) and Chelsea (2-0), as well as a goalless draw with Wolves and last weekend’s 3-0 win over Watford at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils look a particularly attractive price given their uptick in form, though we’ll take some cover by backing the draw no bet.

Over 2.5 Goals

United have seen some fairly low-scoring games of late, but we wouldn’t bank on that after Thursday night seeing Bruno Fernandes show off his ability to help them romp to a 5-0 victory hosting Club Brugge, as well as the high output in Everton’s recent results.

Excluding a Merseyside derby in the FA Cup, with that fixture rather low-scoring in recent times, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have now seen both teams find the net in seven of their past eight outings, with six of these featuring at least three goals.

In fact, each of Everton’s last four have borne witness to a minimum of four strikes, with all of them seeing both teams score twice bar a low-scoring Palace outfit, who lost 3-1 at this ground in Everton’s most recent home game.

Bruno Fernandes To Score Anytime

With both sides capable of conceding poor goals, we’re certainly interested by Fernandes’ chances. The Portuguese international has been instrumental in all five United appearances so far, whilst he’s now netted in back-to-back fixtures, and he can take advantage up against a fairly poor Everton midfield.

The 25-year-old didn’t just deal in assists at Sporting CP, with his tally for them and United this season standing at 17 goals and 16 assists.

That includes six in eight away in league competition, and he looks a big price compared to the alternatives.
