It was elation for Alireza Jahanbakhsh at the weekend, who has not only scored in back to back-to-back matches for Brighton, but it was also a bicycle kick that the likes of Wayne Rooney would be proud of.

Indeed, that earnt them a point hosting Chelsea and although they’ve now won just two of their last 10 fixtures, they only lost to Man Utd, Leicester, Liverpool, Sheffield Utd and Spurs, whilst draws with the Blues, Palace and Wolves are respectable as they defeated Arsenal and Bournemouth.

Sheffield Wednesday are on by far their worst run of the season having lost each of their last three outings since Christmas, but having gone on a run of four victories from five unbeaten matches prior to that as they beat all of Bristol, Charlton, Brentford and Forest, it will be all the more disappointing for the fans.

Indeed, it wasn’t surprising that they did have a downturn in form as star striker Steven Fletcher missed the first two defeats and hit the post after coming on as a second-half substitute in the third, but will return to the starting line-up for this one.

However, the Owls have still gone just W2-D2-L4 on the road since October, losing at a Stoke side that’s struggling down the bottom of the Championship in 21st last time out.

By contrast, the Seagulls have won half their last eight matches at Amex Stadium, three of which were by two or more goals, whilst they drew with Chelsea and Wolves in this time and they’ll be very hard to beat on their own patch.

Graham Potter will likely rotate his squad slightly, but given they have a week off after this fixture we wouldn’t expect to see too many changes and with that in mind, we fancy getting behind them in the outright.
